I haven't been lucky enough yet to get to use an iPad in the classroom; however, many students have access to iPads, iPhones, and iPod touches at home. That being said, I will post some of the most useful and fun apps for your children!
But, first, here are some wonderful sites for you to use in your classroom:
Educational Games:

ABCYa is a wonderful site for grades K-5. Math and literacy are this site's main focus. They even have typing practice! Excellent to use in computer class or even a computer center in your classroom. During guided reading or math this site can be utilized as a center.
Primary Games
This site contains many games, even some strategy games. Since it's summer time, there are even Olympic-themed games.

Love, love, love Starfall. Most of the games are accessible to all. If you want to access all the games you have to pay. Lots of reading and math games for primary grades.

Would you like your students to practice those boring math facts? Well, go visit:
MathMagician
Great for computer center! Give the link out to parents and assign as a part of your nightly homework.
PBS KIDS
For your younger crowd, PBS kids has the characters your kids love! From Curious George to Arthur, your kids will love these games. For example, I used Curious George in a kindergarten class studying measurement. I displayed the game on the SmartBoard and conducted a whole class activity. The children loved it! Curious George and technology, you can't beat it!
